1 tablespoon Chinese Red, Dash of Mirror, Add some SPICE to your kitchen!!

This wonderfully designed kitchen has no upper cabinetry. Instead two armoire/pantries were installed separated by a mirrored alcove which makes possible the addition of an old butcher's four legged chopping block for extra food preparation and or use as a server. The mirrors bring additional light into the ktichen. The armoire doors are faced with chicken wire. A comfortable deco club chair is upholstered in a crushed red velvet.

A true working kitchen. Everything is exposed and easily accessible. By eliminating upper cabinetry and instead, using open shelving, there are no mysteries as to what is low in stock! I love the use of curtain and rod to hide unsightly pipes below the sink. Woven baskets are used in place of drawers and help organize silverwear, products, placements and accessories. The beautiful color of spices and the collection of olive oil add a touch of flavor to this kitchen.

The floors are simple...waxed natural oak. A long tressle table paired with red chaises pliant help to carry the red theme from the adjacent wall. A very simple contemporary conical shaped light pendant works well to contrast many of the square shapes in the kitchen. The rear wall has a collection of personal photographs and the window has no drapery. Its a great kitchen with a lot of soul.
